The Old
Stone Inn first opened to guests in July of 1946 and has been in
continuous operation ever since. Located just a short walk from
downtown Waynesville, North Carolina the Inn is situated on 6-1/2
wooded acres. Tucked away in a forest of stately oaks, rhododendron and
mountain laurel the property roots you and a sense of calm and
peacefulness captivates you. Our rooms are comfortable and cozy and the
food in our restaurant is unsurpassed. You have arrived at a true
mountain lodge.
The
Inn's seven buildings contain 18 guest rooms plus a full-service bar
and our fine dining restaurant. A full, hot breakfast is included
with your room and dinner is available Monday through Saturday nights.
Whether
you plan to explore one of the area's many State and National Parks,
visit nearby Biltmore Estate, take a scenic drive along the beautiful
Blue Ridge Parkway, go whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, go
skiing or snow-boarding at Cataloochee, spend some quality time
browsing the many shops, galleries and fine restaurants on Main Street
or simply relax in your own private rocking chair on one of our many
porches and decks, the Old Stone Inn promises to meet and exceed your
