Policies
(the "fine print")
Our
Front Desk is open most days from 9:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Sundays are a
slow day for us so we usually close a bit early.
All
rooms at the Old Stone Inn can comfortably accommodate one or two
people. Oak Terrace rooms with two double beds can accommodate up to
three people. The two-bedroom Hemlock Cottage can accommodate up to
four people in two queen-size beds. There is an additional charge for a
third or fourth person in a room.
All
reservations must be guaranteed with a major credit card. We accept
Visa/MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Credit cards are used
for guarantee only; the total amount of your bill will be due upon
check-out.
If you
need to cancel your reservation we require at least 48 hours notice
prior to your scheduled arrival. If you cancel with less than 48 hours
advance notice your credit card will be charged for one night.
Check-in
time is between 2:00 and 8:00 PM. Please let us know if you plan to
arrive earlier or later so we can make special arrangements.
Check-out
time is 11:00 AM. Full payment of your bill is due upon check-out.
A full,
hot, country-style breakfast is included with your room. Coffee is
ready in the Main Lodge by 7:30 each morning and breakfast is served
between 8:00 and 9:00.
Pets are
allowed in our Rhododendron Building and in all of the private
cottages. Please let us know if you plan to bring your pet. There is no
additional charge or deposit but you are responsible for the behavior
of your pet.
Children
over the age of 12 are welcome at the Old Stone Inn.
All of
our guest rooms as well as the Restaurant and Bar are non-smoking.
Smoking is allowed outside on all porches and balconies.
Dinner
is served in our Dining Room every night except Sunday with seating
from 5:30 until 8:00. Reservations are strongly recommended especially
on the weekends.
The Old
Stone Inn has a full liquor license and serves beer, wine and mixed
drinks in our Bar and Restaurant. Our license allows us to serve to
guests at any time except Sunday mornings.
